Internal Transfer - move money between accounts and if they are the SAME OWNER. WE ARE ALLOWED TO DO AN INTERNAL TRANSFER FOR THE CUSTOMER. APPLICABLE FOR JOINT ACCOUNT OWNER/S. NO FEE

External Transfer - Zelle transaction - Both Ally Customer but not the same owner of the account. WE CANNOT INITIATE THIS TRANSFER. From Ally to other Bank even if it is the same account owner. NO FEE

Wire Transfer - Move large sums of money in a timely manner. $20 FEE. NO AMOUNT LIMIT. ALLY DOEST NOT CHARGE FOR AN INCOMING WIRE, BUT THE SENDING BANK CAN. OUTGOING WIRE CAN BE CHARGED BY THE EXTERNAL BANK. INCOMING INTERNATION WIRE IS ALLOWED BUT NOT OUTGOING.

Checks - used for depositing money in their account, and paying bills.

eChecks - only for DEPOSITS NOT WITHDRAWAL. Sign the back of check and take a picture.
