Other Limits
-
More restrictive limits can be applied based on:
- Regulatory limits in a send/receive country (refer to respective Country Pages for details),
- Assessment of a potential consumer fraud and/or other risks related to a specific transaction.
-
Transaction limits can vary based on various factors, including but not limited to send/receive agent, send/delivery option, send/receive country and transaction amount; refer to respective Country Pages and Agent Locator for more details.
- MGO customers can see the limits while estimating fees online; refer to MGO Website General Information.
Note: you can provide send/receive limits to customers.
- When a customer states they have not exceeded any of the above limits, advise them there may be other limit-driven restrictions resulting in their transaction(s) being stopped.
- Do not transfer calls related to transactions exceeding limits.
Global Business Principles
Global Business Principles (GBP) are:
- System-driven rules that flag and/or prevent transaction patterns not aligning with our business as the family remittance provider,
- Security measures devised for the benefit of both agents and customers, consisting of various rules related to transaction quantities and dollar amounts over a given period of time.
In case of sends, transactions can be stopped at the point of sale (POS) before Reference Number is generated; in case of receives, they can be automatically made available for refund to senders.
- The following error message is GBP-specific and means that a send/receive transaction was stopped due to exceeding GBP limits: Consumer has met transaction limits.
- Transactions are screened against other limit-driven rules (e.g. regulatory-driven limits, country specific limits, AML/fraud controls), possibly resulting in different agent error messages.
Refer to Transaction Refused at POS or RF6/AFR Status for more details on transactions being refused at POS, or rejected and automatically put in an RF6 status.
