Katniss never volunteered for prim, when peeta's name was called gale volunteered. Cato killed prim so gale killed Cato, and, clove killed gale. Gales last word were,"I'm sorry". Katniss lost both of them that night. So she went into the woods found the berries her father had told her about "look what you've done Snow". She says before eating a handful of the berries" nightlock", she whispers before taking her last breath .
