( SELLER RECEIVED AN EMAIL WASN'T FROM AMAZON ) phishing ( RESOLVED )

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support, I hope that you are doing well, my name is Frances and I will be assisting you today. Thank you for taking time to contact us. As I understand you are concerned about an email you received. We're sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you, I know how important this issue to you and to your business. Rest assured we have maximized our resources to have you assisted accordingly. As per checking our resources, the e-mail you received wasn't from Amazon.

We recommend that you delete the e-mail. For your protection, do not respond to it, and do not open any attachments or click any links it contains. If you responded to the e-mail or visited a linked website but didn't provide any personal information (such as your login or password) your Amazon account information should still be safe. However, if you did respond or visited a forged website and entered your Amazon login and password (or any other personal information), we recommend that you update your Amazon password immediately by going to Your Account (http://amazon.com/your-account) and selecting phishing. If you provided financial information, you may want to contact your bank or credit card provider.

We also recommend running anti-virus or anti-malware software whenever you receive a suspicious e-mail, especially if you opened an attachment or visited a website that was linked in the e-mail. To learn more about ways to protect yourself from phishing, please see this Help page: http://amazon.com/phish Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
