Rebellion is an interface designed specifically for T-Mobile's prepaid services. Its main purpose is to streamline the process of providing personalized sales and services to prepaid customers. By using Rebellion, employees can more effectively explore customers' needs, solve their problems, and guide them through the purchase process. This system encompasses a wide range of functionalities, including account verification, activations and orders, billing and payments, device management, plan and service changes, and in-store processes.

Rebellion simplifies various tasks such as account lookups, SIM swaps, billing adjustments, device compatibility checks, and plan changes, making it a comprehensive tool for managing prepaid accounts and enhancing the customer experience.

Rebellion is the billing system that contains Prepaid customer’s accounts. Use C2 to find system steps to complete various tasks within Rebellion. Only those tasks that do not require extra verification or a credit card.

You’ll be using the Rebellion Training Environment to complete half of the tasks in training and Rebellion Production for the other half.


The cost for the Device Connection Charge provides access to the T-Mobile network. Upgrades processed within 14 days of activation do not pay the Device Connection Charge a second time. Customers can use new devices or Bring their own devices (BYOD) to activate. Do not activate an account using an email address already associated with another account. Prepaid accounts are limited to 5 voice lines. The more lines customers have on the same eligible plan, the greater the discount they'll receive. Customers are not required to add their names to their account. Advise customers that the activation may take up to 2 hours. Once customers receive their device, follow the First-Time Use: Rebellion steps to complete the activation. Customers must resolve past-due, delinquent, canceled, or suspended statuses prior to beginning a postpaid to Prepaid conversion. Make sure to advise customers they will lose access to the T-Mobile app before converting from postpaid to Prepaid. Customers must have 12 consecutive on-time payments on their T-Mobile Prepaid account in the last 12 months for Smartphone Equality eligibility.

Prepaid Experience: Refills & Renewals - Basics

T-Mobile offers customers two ways to automatically withdraw the amount they specify to keep their account balance paid in full. Be sure to distinguish between a returned payment and a payment denial. If the customer is having an issue completing a payment online, conduct a visual audit first to determine if there is a returned payment memo. In any case, thank the customer for attempting to use a self-service payment option, and express empathy for their inability to complete an online payment. Attempt to make the payment for the customer. Think outside the box for other options to make the payment.

Renewals: Information on how prepaid services are renewed, which could be monthly, annually, or based on usage. This section might explain how customers can ensure their service continues without interruption, including any actions they need to take to renew their plans or if the process is automatic.

Customers need to make account MRC payments prior to renewal date, or all lines will be moved to Suspended Non-Paid status. The maximum payment a customer can make is $300. Customers have a variety of options to refill their account. Position the benefits of AutoPay and Auto Refill to customers. Customers cannot return ePINs or hard cards once they have been redeemed. You cannot set up AutoPay with a refill card.
