People everywhere are trying to return to pre-pandemic routines and that means a lot of transitory spending is underway. Throw this spending against supply chain shortages and you get inflation as prices try to ration available resources. Give buyers plenty of cash and access to low cost credit and you get even more inflation as buyers are less price sensitive. Add to this the war induced spike in energy prices and you get a situation that is dire in terms of price stability.
