I want to help you better understand the communication limitations I’m under here. The systems in place on base are highly secure and carefully monitored—not to restrict us personally, but to protect the mission and everyone involved. To be specific, the computer systems here are designed to monitor outgoing data only—not what we receive. That’s because the greatest risk lies in information leaving the base. Any outgoing message, even something that seems harmless, could potentially reveal our next move or location if intercepted. It’s a necessary precaution in military operations, especially when working in sensitive environments. It’s not about secrecy between us—it’s about keeping lives safe, including my own and those of my team. I hope that helps make sense of why I’ve been cautious at times.
