Everything began almost 50 years ago with one big dream: to help people connect and celebrate life’s special moments.
🌸 1976
Jim McCann opened his first local flower shop in Manhattan. Over the next 10 years, he expanded to 14 shops around the New York metro area.
☎️ 1986
The company acquired the famous 1-800-Flowers phone number and renamed the business after it. This made ordering flowers fast and incredibly memorable.
💻 1990s
We entered the digital world:
First appeared on Compuserve and AOL
Launched our first e-commerce website in 1995
