Hi, quick honesty upfront when a hosting company says the MD “waved the white flag,” it usually means the business outgrew its own website, and that’s actually a good problem to fix.

I’ve helped a couple of WordPress and subscription-based service brands refresh sites like this where the systems were solid, the copy was ready, but the design no longer reflected the trust and maturity of the business, and the goal was clarity and confidence rather than flashy conversion tricks.

I’d approach this as a single, cohesive design direction that feels secure, plain-English, and quietly premium and does the “Virgin-style” reference lean more toward bold simplicity or friendly restraint for you?

I’d design directly as high-fidelity Elementor layouts where possible, keeping components reusable and API placeholders clean do you prefer designs fully built in WP, or a mix of Elementor templates and static mocks for review? For pages like the pricing table and support plans, would you want comparison emphasis or reassurance emphasis?

From a UX side, I’d design mobile-first with accessibility and contrast baked in early are there any specific accessibility standards you’re aiming to meet? And since this is UK-focused small businesses, should tone lean more technical-reassuring or friendly-guiding? Are there existing customer behaviors you want the layout to nudge, like plan comparisons or support contact?

Given the scope and timeline, £500 feels appropriate for a focused, near-final design pass with one clear direction.
