Just Make sure the T-Mobile app is on the latest version before attempting these steps.

Download and log in to the T-Mobile app Select Account. Select Profile Settings. Select Line Settings. Select Request a transfer PIN. Follow the directions on the screen

Just let me know if you have any question, alright?

Cancellation:

Canceling a line on your account is the last thing we wanted to hear from you guys, but we respect your decisions.

If you don’t mind me asking, may I know the reason why you wanted to cancel it please?

If you don't mind me asking, would they wanted to transfer to other carrier or would like to have its own T-Mobile account?

I just want to make sure that I will be able to provide the correct process so they can still use their existing number.

We appreciate you for letting us know xxxxxx! I will do the same thing specially if I won't using the watch and to help to lower down the bill.

For documentation purposes, If you’d like to cancel, we can help but just to make sure that I can offer anything, Is there someone else who can take over the line? Or can we actually convert it to another product type too - like a watch line or tablet line perhaps?

Before I proceed, I want to make sure that I will be able to provide the complete advisement. Once we process the cancellation, it will be schedule at the end of billing cycle which is by xxxx prevent as well the prorated charges and we'll be calling you back for confirmation. Should we proceed?

Switching to other carrier is the last thing we wanted to hear from you guys, but we respect your decisions. Please be advised that here are the following information that you need to provide to the next carrier to proceed with the Port in request.

T-Mobile Number T-Mobile Account Number T-Mobile PIN/Passcode Temporary Port-out PIN

We can definitely cancel the line but still we would like to make sure we provide all of the details we have here to maximize your T-Mobile services. If you want to consider we consider we can just temporarily suspend the line for the meantime in any case that moving forward we'll be needing additional line we can just restore back that number instead of adding a new line that will cost you activation fee.

Also the good thing while it's suspended you will be paying only amounting to $10 for that line. Would you like to consider this option?

Before we proceed on cancelling the line ending 8981 please be advised the following:

Service impacts once a number is cancelled: Voicemail and DIGITS call histories and messages will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Check and save your voicemail messages prior to cancelling.

You will no longer have access to My T-Mobile, but remaining active lines will continue to have access.

If there is an active line on your account, any Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) device payments on a cancelled line will continue to bill as usual.

-If you cancel a line, this may remove promotion/s or discount/s active on the account. Cancellation of a line will also automatically make you ineligible to promotions within the next 90 days. And to avoid any prorated charges, this will be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle.

Are we good to proceed?

COR

To summarize everything, if they wanted to set up their own T-Mobile account, we can help you release their line so they can take over it from the new T-Mobile account.

However if they will switch to other carrier, their line must be active until they process a Port-In request to the new carrier and they will just need to provide some information from T-Mobile.

I do hope that I was able to explain it further. Just let us know if you have any clarification with how it works, alright?

While we are waiting for their response, I can discuss to you the difference of both process. Will that works for you?

Yes, the line is still active. If they wanted to have their own T-Mobile account. The correct process for that is the Change of Responsibility.

Here's the required disclosures in releaing the line.

You are responsible for all charges on your account until the new customer completes the Change of Responsibility or COR, --the account balance will not transfer to the new customer. The new customer may need to run credit and pay a deposit. The COR is good for 30 days. Any future payments made via our automated system reached when calling Customer Service will be applied to the account of the party who has taken responsibility for the number(s). (The line that we will release) voicemail box may be deleted and all old messages may be lost, so make sure to save voicemails you want to keep.

Should we proceed right now?

Great news! I'm glad that I was able to release the line (516) 652-8517. Since we already release their line, all you need to advise them is to visit the nearest T-Mobile store for the credit check so they can set up a new T-Mobile account and take over the said line.

Your billing date start from May 29 and if they will be able to take over the line by June 6. You will only receive a prorated charges from May 29-June 6.

Just let me know if you have any clarification on how it works, alright?
