During yesterday’s shift, we discussed the different brands under 1‑800‑Flowers.com Inc. and how Jim McCann grew the company from a single flower shop into a billion‑dollar retailer focused on helping people connect and celebrate life’s special moments. In 2025, Adolfo Villagomez became the first CEO outside the McCann family, bringing strong experience in digital strategy and business growth. We also learned that we will be handling a total of seven brands for sales and service—five floral brands and two additional gifting brands. Another important topic was understanding American culture, particularly why people in the U.S. spend money on gifts like flowers, chocolates, or baked goods even though they don’t last long. These gifts create emotional impact and help express love, appreciation, sympathy, and celebration. 1‑800‑Flowers.com offers original floral arrangements, plants, and unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, everyday moments, and seasonal holidays. The company began in 1976 and is headquartered in Jericho, New York. Some of the most popular flowers include roses, lilies, daisies, sunflowers, and tulips, while popular plants include succulents, orchids, rose plants, bonsai, and gardenias.
