CHAPTER 1: The One Who Changed the Rhythm
Minato lives quietly—until Sora crashes into his world.
Literally.
“Ah—sorry!”
They bump into each other outside campus.
Sora laughs it off.
Minato walks away…
…but his heart doesn’t.
CHAPTER 2: Soft Beginnings
Sora starts sitting beside him in class.
Sharing food.
Leaning too close.
Smiling too easily.
Minato notices everything.
Pretends he doesn’t.
CHAPTER 3: The Third Beat Appears
Enter Renji.
He sits across Minato in the cafeteria, chin resting on his hand.
“You’re interesting.”
Minato frowns. “I’m not.”
Renji smirks.
“You are when you look at Sora like that.”
Minato freezes.
Across the table— Sora laughs with friends, unaware.
But Renji?
He sees everything.
CHAPTER 4: Jealousy Without a Name
Sora notices Renji hanging around Minato.
Too close.
Too often.
One afternoon:
Renji casually leans down near Minato’s ear—
“Do you like him?”
Minato’s face turns red instantly.
Sora sees it.
And something unfamiliar twists in his chest.
CHAPTER 5: The First Jealousy
Sora grabs Minato’s wrist later.
“…Why are you always with him lately?”
Minato blinks.
“You’re the one who’s always busy.”
Sora pauses.
He can’t answer that.
Because it’s true.
And for the first time—
he realizes someone else might take Minato away.
CHAPTER 6: Renji Doesn’t Hold Back
Renji walks Minato home.
Too close.
Too comfortable.
“You should stop looking at someone who doesn’t notice you properly.”
Minato looks away.
“…He does.”
Renji stops walking.
Then smiles slightly.
“Then I’ll just have to make you look at me instead.”
CHAPTER 7: The Almost Loss
Sora sees them together one evening.
Laughing.
Close.
Minato smiling in a way Sora hasn’t seen before.
And suddenly—
his chest hurts.
Not soft.
Not quiet.
But sharp.
tibok… tibok… tibok…
Too loud.
Too late?
CHAPTER 8: The Confrontation
Sora finally snaps.
Pulls Minato aside.
“Do you like him?”
Minato shakes his head.
“…No.”
Sora exhales—
too relieved.
“Then why—”
Minato cuts him off.
“Because I like you.”
Silence.
Everything stops.
CHAPTER 9: The Choice
Renji hears about it.
Of course he does.
He laughs—but not fully.
“So you chose him.”
Minato nods.
“…Yeah.”
Renji sighs.
“Figures.”
Then adds softly:
“…He better not waste that.”
FINAL CHAPTER: Beyond the Heartbeat
Sora and Minato walk home together.
Closer than before.
Hands brushing—
then finally staying together.
Sora smiles, softer now.
“…I didn’t realize it before.”
Minato looks at him.
“What?”
“That my heart was already yours.”
Minato’s chest tightens—
but this time, it’s warm.
Steady.
Certain.
Not confusing anymore.
Because now—
every tibok leads to one place.
Sora.
