- A seller is asking you how can they have their inventory returned to them, What would you tell the seller?
help page: Remove inventory (overview)
You can request to return or dispose of the inventory you have stored in Amazon's fulfilment centres using one of the following methods:
To remove any amount of inventory at any time, go to Remove inventory from fulfilment centres. To enable automatic removals for unsellable inventory or inventory subject to long-term storage fees, go to Remove inventory automatically. To use inventory files to request the removal of a list of inventory that you provide in a spreadsheet, go to Remove inventory in bulk. Removal fees are charged per item removed. For more information, go to FBA removal and disposal fees.
You must upload the removal order file for cross border removal orders with a destination address outside your home store. For more information, go to Create a removal order to return outside your home store.
- A seller is concerned that they spend a large amount of time every month to create removal orders. What suggestion could you provide the seller to make this task easier?
help page: Remove inventory automatically
: You can set up automatic removals for your inventory at Amazon fulfilment centres. You can enable removals for unsellable or stranded inventory or for both types of inventory. Eligible unsellable units can be automatically refurbished or liquidated as value recovery alternatives to the units, to be returned to the seller address or disposed.
- A seller has received a return that is damaged and is no longer sellable. What must the seller do?
: If the seller received a return item that is damaged, they may submit a claim as soon as they receive the items. All claims for items lost or damaged in transit must be filed within 18 months of the date the item was removed from the Amazon fulfilment network.
- A seller has slow moving inventory and has been paying LTSF’s. The seller is frustrated and want to know how they could avoid this? What could you suggest to the seller?
: What we can suggest to seller, is to to have fulfilable inventory removed through automated fulfilable inventory settings. Once enabled, we’ll return, liquidate, or dispose of fulfillable inventory that's been in a fulfilment centre from 1 to 12 months. This will help to avoid paying LTSF.
