PlayStation started back in 1994 as a video game console under Sony Interactive Entertainment. The console featured many games such as Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and much more. Since then, PlayStation has released 5 more video game consoles under the same name.

PlayStation is owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment's CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida. The PlayStation first launched on December 3rd, 1994, in Japan. PlayStation's most recent console released was the PlayStation 5, the console you may know as PS5 aswell. The PS5 was officially released on November 12th, 2020. The PS5 is also the best PlayStation console you can get at the moment, with its fast speed SSD, smooth 4k graphics, beautiful HDR technology colors, and many more amazing features. The price you find most often for it starts at $399.

Another one of their amazing consoles, yet a bit older is the PlayStation 4, or PS4. This console was released on November 13th, 2013. It came in 2 different versions. The standard version, which sells for $399. The 2nd version, the PS4 Pro, was released 3 years later also selling for $399. The PS4 Pro offered improved graphics, faster speeds and frame rates, and more improvements. Although the PS4 itself was already a good console, the pro was even better.

The PlayStation VR, although it's not a video game console, it fits the category quite well. The PlayStation VR is a headset and controllers that are made to put you into another world through a screen. Everywhere you look will be somewhere else, and you can even interact with things in your, Virtual Reality. The Playstation VR sells for $299.
